Lindholm has been sidelined since October 27th and his movement to IR opens up a roster spot for Zach Senyshyn to come up from the AHL. Lindholm is eligible to be activated whenever he is back to 100 percent.
Lindholm has been a healthy scratch for the last four games but will replace David Krejci (upper-body) in the lineup on Thursday. Lindholm will centre the third line with Danton Heinen and Karson Kuhlman on his wings.
Lindholm was a quality free agent pickup out of Sweden, playing exclusively on Toronto’s fourth-line and ranked fourth among Maple Leafs forwards in PK-TOI/gm (1:39). Lindholm has just one goal and 11 assists in 61 games this season and will have to battle with a number of forwards for playing time in Winnipeg.
