Pat Maroon News
Maroon (illness) missed Monday’s practice; doubtful for Tuesday’s game vs. Arizona.

Maroon has picked up six points (2G / 4A) in 10 games since being acquired from the Ducks at the trade deadline. He had been skating with Connor McDavid and Jordan Eberle, so his absence will open a nice spot in the lineup. Monitor his status during Tuesday’s morning skate.

The Oilers have acquired Patrick Maroon from the Ducks for Martin Gernat and a 2016 fourth round pick.

Maroon, 27, has picked up just 13 points (4G / 9A) in 56 games this season after posting 34 (9G / 25A) in 71 last season. With the acquisition of Jamie McGinn, Maroon became expendable. He should get a bigger opportunity in Edmonton.

Maroon (knee) is healing faster than anticipated.

Maroon's original timetable was four weeks, but he is coming along better than expected which means he could potentially be back by next week. With Dany Heatley back and Matt Beleskey playing well, the Ducks likely won't rush Maroon, but sounds like he will be joining them in practice shortly.

Maroon will miss four weeks with an MCL sprain.

Maroon suffered the injury in the Ducks win over the Sabres on Monday. He was moved to IR yesterday so we knew the injury was going to keep him out a bit and it turns out he will be out until the middle of November with an MCL sprain. This is a tough break for Maroon who had three assists in the first three games playing with Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf. Matt Beleskey is expected to continue to fill that spot, at least until Dany Heatley (groin) is healthy.

Maroon (leg) will miss at least a couple of game; maybe longer.

Maroon was injured in the Ducks 5-1 win over the Sabres on Monday after being hit by Josh Gorges. He was reportedly walking with a noticeable limp after the game and has been ruled out for Tuesday's game and could miss a lot more time than that. He was settling in nicely on the Ducks top-line, recording an assist in each of the first three games. The Ducks will likely release a timetable for Maroon in the next day or two.

The Ducks have recalled right wing Devante Smith-Pelly, goaltender Frederik Andersen and left wing Patrick Maroon from the Norfolk Admirals.

Maroon, 25 (4/23/88), has appeared in 11 games for Anaheim this season, scoring two goals (2-0=2) with 10 PIM. He collected his first career NHL goal on Feb. 16 at Nashville, beating Pekka Rinne for the game-tying goal in an eventual 3-2 shootout win.
