On Thursday the Capitals got down to 27 players in camp by sending defensemen Sean Collins and Patrick McNeill and forward Chris Bourque to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.
No immediate fantasy hockey value on waivers.
The Caps agreed to terms with defenseman Patrick McNeill on a two-year deal worth $525,000 annually, according to Cap Geek (widely known as the most trusted NHL salary cap website), which first reported the contract.
