The National Hockey League has suspended Minnesota Wild winger Pierre-Marc Bouchard for two games due to a stick infraction during last night's 4-2 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Bouchard will miss Monday afternoon's game against the New York Islanders, and Tuesday night's contest in Ottawa.
Bouchard looked like the Bouchard of old, skating elusively through traffic, stickhandling by defenders and setting up play after play. Best yet, he showed immediate chemistry with potential linemates Guillaume Latendresse and Matt Cullen.
Bouchard sounds fine to draft and should be a useful fantasy hockey player. The versatile forward scored 12 goals and 38 points last season in only 59 games.
Pierre-Marc Bouchard did not practice today because of a tweaked hamstring. We'll find out Sunday if he hits the ice.
At this point the injury seems mostly precautionary. Stay tuned for further updates on the playmaking forward.

Center Matt Cullen will center the second line with Latendresse and Pierre-Marc Bouchard.
Some pundits penciled Bouchard on the top line with Mikko Koivu and Dany Heatley. For the time being the injury-prone playmaker starts on the second line.
