Harvey-Pinard underwent successful surgery on Friday for a broken leg and is expected to miss the first four months of the 2024-25 season.

In a bit of an early blow for Montreal, forward Rafael Harvey-Pinard announced Friday that he had successfully underwent surgery for his leg and is expected to miss at least the first four months of the 2024-25 season. The 25-year-old winger set career highs in games played (45) and assists (8) in 2023-24 but had a down year overall with only 10 total points and a -2 plus/minus.

Harvey-Pinard has been out since November 14th due to a lower-body injury but will return to the Canadiens' lineup Thursday as he replaces Emil Heineman. The 25-year-old Sophomore had yet to score in 13 games before his injury, but had four assists, 11 SOG, two PIMs and a +1 plus/minus.

Harvey-Pinard did not play the last two games for the Canadiens, has been placed on the injured reserve, and will not travel on the team's upcoming California road trip, meaning he will miss at least the next three games. Before his injury, Pinard was held without a point in his last four games, racking up two shots on goals, averaging 10:22 time-on-ice.
