Elie split the 2019 season between the AHL and NHL. He had one assist in 16 games with Buffalo and 14 points (8G / 6A) in 25 games in Rochester. Elie is likely heading to Rochester (AHL) to start the 2020 season.
Elie was in the lineup for the last three games but will sit with Patrik Berglund returning from an upper-body injury.

After two years in the AHL, Elie was a nearly full-time NHLer in 2018. The 23-year-old scored six goals with eight assists (14 points) in 72 games with the Stars last season. Elie figures to be a bottom-6 winger again in 2019.
Elie was not on the ice for the Stars morning skate and will not play tonight vs. the Blue Jackets. With Elie out, Jason Dickinson will be in the lineup.
Elie has appeared i the last five games, recording one goal on seven shots, but is expected to be scratched tonight with Tyler Pitlick ready to return to the lineup.
With Adam Cracknell being claimed off of waivers by the Rangers, the Stars had an open roster spot to bring Elie up. The 22-year-old winger brings speed and grit to the Stars’ fourth line and had seven points (1G / 6A) in 18 games with Dallas last year. Look for him to get into the lineup vs. Detroit on Tuesday.
