Reto Berra News
Berra gets a second consecutive start on Thursday.

Berra stopped 25 of 26 shots in a tough-luck 2-0 loss to the Canadiens on Tuesday. It was a strong performance for the Swiss Olympian, but the Flames O could not find a way past Carey Price. Berra's 3.11 GAA and .894 SV% should be a reason to keep him on the waiver wire.

Berra stopped 14 of 17 shots after replacing the injured Karri Ramo in a win over the Wild on Saturday. With Ramo out until after the Olympics, the starting job is Berra's. He enters play in Montreal on Tuesday with a 3-5-0, 3.52 GAA and .897 SV% on the road this season.

Berra gets the start on Saturday.

Berra surrendered six goals on 30 shots in a loss to Coyotes on Tuesday. The Flames goaltending situation is pretty gloomy right now and it probably is not wise to own Berra or Karri Ramo, except for in the deepest of leagues. If you do own Berra, do yourself a favour and leave him on your bench against the Penguins on Saturday.

Berra goes for the Flames on Monday.

Berra allowed two goals on 31 shots in a 2-0 loss to the Bruins last Tuesday. The loss was no fault of Berra's who played very well against one of the league's best. Berra draws another very difficult matchup with the Blues in town.

Berra starts against the Bruins.

Berra allowed two goals on 24 shots in a loss to the Bruins on December 10. He sat for the next three games, but returns to the cage tonight against the same Bruins squad he faced last Tuesday. Despite the strong outing last time, it is a terrible matchup and I would look elsewhere tonight.

Berra starts at home vs. Boston on Tuesday.

Berra gave up a single goal on 31 shots in a 2-1 overtime win over the Oilers on Saturday. It was a great game for Berra who had allowed eight goals in his previous two outings. He is now 4-6-2 with a 3.28 GAA and .894 SV% on the season and draws a terrible matchup tomorrow vs. the Bruins.

Reto Berra
Berra vs. Dubnyk in Edmonton tonight.

Berra surrendered five goals on 38 shots in a loss to the Ducks on November 29. He sat on the pine for the next three games, but gets back in the crease tonight in the Battle of Alberta. It is not an ideal matchup, because of the talent in Edmonton. They proved to us on Thursday that their offence is capable of going off at any time.

Berra gets the nod on Wednesday vs. Chicago.

Berra allowed three goals on 26 shots in a win over the Panthers on Friday. Despite getting the W it was the seventh time in nine games that he has allowed at least three goals. His GAA is at a staggering 3.34 and should not be trusted against the Blackhawks on Wednesday.

Reto Berra
Berra starts on Friday.

Berra allowed two goals on 18 shots in a 2-1 OT loss to the Blue Jackets on Wednesday. Berra did have one incredible bicycle-kick looking save that should be a save of the year candidate, but he was still on the wrong end of the score board for the sixth time in eight appearances. Berra has a solid matchup tomorrow vs.Florida.

Berra was lit up and pulled after allowing four goals on 17 shots against the Stars on Thursday. Karri Ramo did not play well either so the Flames have elected to give Berra another shot. He has lost four in a row and has started his NHL career 1-3-1 with a 3.78 GAA and .884 SV%. Berra does catch a break as he takes on the equally as bad Oilers tomorrow.

Berra gets the nod for the Flames on Thursday.

Berra surrendered three tallies on 35 shots in an OT loss to the Sharks on Tuesday. It would have been a blow out if it wasn't for Berra, he kept his team in it and they forced the extra frame. Thursday he faces the Stars who will be in their second game of a back-to-back.
