Nash missed Saturday’s game after being hit in the head with a puck in warmups. Ultimately the fluky incident caused a concussion and will keep Nash out of Tuesday’s game.
Nash has missed the last six games after suffering a lower-body injury on December 31. The 24-year-old bottom-6 forward has chipped in 10 points (4G /6A) in 36 games for the Hurricanes this season.
Nash, 23, has posted NHL career highs this season with four goals, five assists (9 points) and 32 games played. With Charlotte he set AHL career highs in assists (24) and points (37), and ranked fourth in assists and fifth in scoring among team skaters.
Nash, 23, rejoins the Hurricanes after being reassigned to Charlotte on March 22, and scoring two goals in the Checkers’ 4-2 win at Texas on Saturday. Nash (6’1”, 191 lbs.) is in his third full professional season and has registered three goals, three assists (6 points) and a plus-2 rating in 16 games with the Hurricanes this season.
Nash recorded six points in 16 games with the Hurricanes.
Nash has 11 G and 24 A in 50 games in the AHL this season. He isn't expected to be fantasy relevant.
Nash likely would be a healthy scratch so he returns to the AHL in order to stay fresh. Expect him to get another look shortly.
Sounds like Nash will stay on the top PP unit. The rookie has an assist in two career NHL games.
Nash gets a look on the second line with Zac Dalpe hurt. He has six goals and 18 points through 41 games at the AHL level.
Expect Nash to center the fourth line. He has an assist through two games.
With Nash back on the farm, look for Tim Brent to resume his duties as fourth line center.
