Washington has re-signed Riley Sutter to a one-year, two-way contract extension.
Sutter has been strictly an AHLer since being selected by the Capitals in the third-round in 2018. He's coming off the best season of his AHL career, scoring nine goals with 14 assists (23 points) in 66 games.
