McKeown has not played since Dec. 15th due to being a healthy scratch but will draw back into the Predators' lineup Tuesday. Through three games this season, he is yet to pick up a point and has six PIMs and a -1 plus/minus.
McKeown had two goals, six assists, 16 PIMs and a +13 plus/minus through 25 games with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL) and has been recalled for the second time this season. In his previous three games, he had failed to pick up a point but had six PIMs and a -1 plus/minus.
McKeown had two goals, six assists, 14 PIMs and a +12 plus/minus through 22 games with Milwaukee (AHL) prior to his promotion to Nashville Monday. The 26-year-old last played in the NHL in 2017-18, where he collected three assists, a +3 plus/minus, and 19 PIMs through 10 games.
McKeown returned to North America for the 2021-22 season after playing with Skelleftea AIK (SHL) during the 2020-21 campaign. He had 20 points (3G / 17A) in 61 AHL games with the Colorado Eagles (AHL). Since being selected No.50 overall in 2014, McKeown has appeared in just 10 career NHL games.
McKeown, 23, had four goals and 21 assists in 70 games with Charlotte (AHL) last season. With a loaded depth chart in Carolina and Jake Bean ahead of him on the call-up list, McKeown will need a few injuries ahead of him if he is going to sniff the NHL in 2020.
McKeown was in the Hurricanes lineup on Sunday and with Brett Pesce’s return on the horizon, McKeown will return to their AHL affiliate. The 22-year-old has 13 points (3G / 10A) in 37 games with the Checkers.
Brett Pesce (concussion) landed on IR yesterday, so McKeown has been recalled to serve as the Hurricanes seventh defenseman. The 21-year-old, former second round pick (No.50 overall in 2014) has picked up three points (1G / 2A) in nine games with Charlotte this season.
McKeown, 20, was drafted 50th overall in 2014 and was acquired from the Kings last season in a trade that sent Kris Versteeg to Los Angeles. McKeown spent last year in Kingston (OHL), posting 42 points (7G / 35A) in 59 games.
