Carolina will bring Ronan Seeley back for a fourth season in the organization after the 22-year-old signed a one-year, two-way contract extension. The stay-at-home defensemen enjoyed a strong season in 2024-25 with Chicago (AHL), picking up three goals, 10 points and a -6 plus/minus in 69 games played. He is expected to spend 2025-26 back in Chicago.

With Carolina in need of extra playoff roster players and Chicago (AHL) no longer needing his services, Ronan Seeley has been recalled to the Hurricanes on Thursday. The 21-year-old defenseman was Carolina's 2020 7th-round pick (208th overall) and had two goals and 14 points in 58 games played with Chicago this season.

Seeley was a seventh-round pick of the Hurricanes in 2020. The 6-foot-1, 192 lbs. defenseman had five goals and 12 assists (17 points) in 23 games with the Everett Silvertips (WHL).
