Noesen will join Martin Necas (upper-body) on the sidelines for this one as the Hurricanes will be forced to dress 11 forwards and seven defensemen. Noesen has ten goals and 13 assists in 38 games this season.

Noesen has eight goals, 20 points, 75 SOG, 17 PIMs and a +5 plus/minus through 37 games with the Hurricanes but will miss his first contest of the year Thursday as he deals with a lower-body injury. He is considered day-to-day for the time being.

With a bunch of Hurricanes forwards in COVID-19 protocol, Noesen is set up to make his Hurricanes debut on Thursday. The 28-year-old veteran has 54 points (31G / 23A) in 205 career NHL games with the Ducks, Devils, Penguins, Sharks and Maple Leafs.

Noesen was acquired from the Sharks at the deadline and is set to debut Thursday vs. the Habs. Noesen has spent most of 2021 in the AHL, scoring two goals with four assists in 12 games.

Noesen rarely suited up for the Sharks in 2021, appearing in just five games at the NHL-level and 12 with their AHL affiliate. Noesen will likely head to the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Noesen will play for the first time since January 28th, replacing Marcus Sorensen on the fourth line. Noesen has failed to record a point in four games this season.
