Have to think #CBJ coaches put G Steve Mason back in soon, but when? Tue. vs. VAN seems risky. Canucks are 2nd in NHL in scoring @ 3.31/game

Expect Mason to get a start within the next few games. The former Calder Trophy winner holds a 3-12-1 record with an awful 3.63 GAA and .875 SV%.

Mason said he is headache free and took another concussion test today. He expects to pass with flying colors. He said he is looking forward to rejoining his teammates on Sunday.

Mason has not played since November 15th as the team holds him out due to a concussion. He will be hard pressed to unseat the streaking Curtis Sanford when he gets back into the lineup.

#CBJ G Steve Mason goes down on knees/elbows after taking puck to head/neck in am skate. After help from trainers, leaves under own power.

Mason was injured during today's morning skate and is highly doubtful to start tonight. Considering minor league journeyman Curtis Sanford has completely outplayed him over the last few games, it seems safe to say Mason will sit tonight.

G Steve Mason (shoulder) practiced yesterday, which was mildly surprising since he missed part of Tuesday's game to get his left shoulder treated. He returned after missing 2:33 of playing time, and he had a bag of ice on his shoulder. "I felt good, the shoulder's fine and I wanted to be out there," Mason said. Simple as that.

Doesn't sound like Mason will lose any playing time to this shoulder injury. It should be noted, however, that Allen York likely gets a start this week.

“I haven’t been told to expect anything,” York said. “I’ll just work hard, stay out late with the guys at practice and be a good backup.

Mason goes for his first win tonight against the Sens. Over three career starts vs. Ottawa, the former Calder Memorial Trophy winner posted a 2-1-0 record with a 1.65 GAA, .945 SV% and one shutout.
