Ott has collected three goals and three assists (six points) in 42 games for the Red Wings this season. Ott brings some grit, toughness and good face-off ability to the Canadiens’ bottom-6 but likely won’t see a tonne of playing time down the stretch.

Ott has missed the last six games with an undisclosed injury but will replace Ryan Reaves in the lineup on Thursday. Ott has two assists and 32 penalty minutes in 13 games this season.
The Blues announced on Wednesday that Ott was questionable with an illness, but he will be in the lineup vs. the Red Wings.
Monitor Ott’s status during Thursday’s morning skate, but it sounds like he will not play due to the flu. Look for Joakim Lindstrom to play if Ott is unable to go.
Ott, 31, appeared in all 82 games in 2013-14 with the Blues and Sabres. He played 23 with the Blues, recording three assists and a minus-12 rating. Ott will likely skate on the Blues' third or fourth line in 2014-15.
