Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks President and General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that the Canucks have assigned centre Steve Reinprecht to the AHL Chicago Wolves. Reinprecht, alongside David Booth, was acquired by the Canucks from the Florida Panthers on October 22, 2011.

As expected.

Added Reinprecht, “It felt good to get some ice time and back in the swing of things. It would have been nice to have finished that one there with a minute left, but that’s the way it is. It’s just nice to be out there playing with (Bergenheim and Carter).”

Reinprecht holds a $2.05 million cap hit which could guarantee he makes the team (in order to hit the cap floor).
