Tim Kennedy News
The Coyotes have recalled forward Tim Kennedy from the Portland (AHL).

Kennedy has played in six games with the Coyotes this season, totaling three assists and a plus-one rating. He has also registered two assists with six PIM in six games with the Pirates. He has recorded 13 goals 34 points with 56 PIM in 131 career NHL games.

The Coyotes have recalled forward Brandon Yip and assigned forward Tim Kennedy to the Portland Pirates (AHL).

Kennedy played in four games with the Coyotes this season collecting two assists with a plus-two rating. The 27-year-old native of Buffalo, N.Y. has recorded 13 goals and 20 assists (33 points) with 56 penalty minutes (PIM) in 129 career NHL games.

After a second wave of 13 cuts Saturday that reduced the roster to 32, Kennedy’s odds have improved, especially after notching the game-winning goal in Monday’s win over the Predators and two assists in Saturday’s loss to the Lightning.

Too good for the AHL, Kennedy could make the team as a spare forward. He scored 12 goals and 42 points with the Connecticut Whale next season. The 26-year-old could score 10 goals if he plays for a full season.
