Fleischmann, 31, is a pending unrestricted free agent, so the Blackhawks have acquired him as a rental winger, who will likely play on their third line. The veteran winger has 10 goals and 10 assists (20 points) in 57 games this season and is expected to make his Blackhawks’ debut on Saturday.
Fleischmann had one goal, two assists and 14 shots on goal in four preseason games with the Canadiens. Fleischmann had just 27 points (8G / 19A) in 66 games between the Panthers and Ducks last year.

Fleischmann’s flight to Dallas yesterday was cancelled so he will miss the morning skate and is unlikely to play tonight vs. the Stars. His next chance to make his debut would be Tuesday in Arizona.
Fleischmann has scored seven goals with 14 assists (21 points) in 52 games with the Panthers this season. Fleischmann had 56 goals and 72 assists (128 points) in 240 games under Ducks head coach Bruce Bourdreau, when they were both in Washington.

Fleischmann remains questionable for this weekend's games after taking a high hit against the Rangers. The top-line winger went under observation and by all accounts sounds optimistic. Expect an update prior to game time.
