Krug left Tuesday’s game with an undisclosed injury.

It is unclear what happened to Krug that forced him from Tuesday’s win in Carolina. Bruins head coach Bruce Cassidy did not have any sort of update on Krug postgame, so he will likely be reevaluated on Wednesday and an update will follow. Krug was reportedly seen walking around without any obvious signs that he is dealing with a lower-body injury.

Krug (face) is a game-time decision for the Bruins’ afternoon game on Monday.

The Bruins have a few players who are listed as game-time decisions, but Krug seems like the most likely to return vs. the Avalanche. Krug, who was cleared for contact on Saturday has skated with a full-face shield in practice, had an impressive 51 points (8G / 43A) in 81 games last season. Expect head coach Bruce Cassidy to address the media around 11am ET.

Krug (face) will not play Thursday; has not been ruled out for Monday’s game.

Krug has an X-ray and a meeting with doctors scheduled for Friday and the best-case scenario would be a return to the lineup for the Bruins’ second game of the season on Monday. With Krug out on Thursday, Matt Grzelcyk will get a look on the Bruins’ third-pair and second power-play unit.

Krug (illness) missed the morning skate but is expected to play vs. Florida.

Krug was absent from the Bruins’ morning skate on Monday, but head coach Claude Julien said that Krug will try and give it a go tonight. Krug has had a hard time finding the back of the net in his first 25 games, scoring just one goal on 77 shots, but it’s only a matter of time before the puck starts bouncing the right way for the talented defenseman.
