Daley will continue to undergo tests on his upper-body injury after he was forced to leave Wednesday’s game following a collision with the goal post. Daley will be a game-time decision on Friday, but monitor his status during the morning skate.
Daley, 32, had six assists but did not score a goal in 29 games with the Blackhawks this season, his first since being traded from the Stars. Daley will help the Penguins with their breakout as well as on their power-play. The Penguins will retain 33 percent of Scuderi’s $3 million salary.

Daley has been out since March 3rd because of a knee injury, but he will be back in tonight in Vancouver. There is no word as to who will come out of the lineup tonight. Daley has 16 goals and 17 assists (33 points) in 61 games this season.

Daley was injured in a knee-on-knee collision with Matt Martin on Tuesday. The NHL slapped a one-game suspension on Martin, but it will cost Daley 2-4 weeks. He will miss at least the next six games.
Daley was caught knee-on-knee by Islanders forward Matt Martin early in Tuesday’s 3-2 win. The Stars have already lost Tyler Seguin to a knee-on-knee collision and now they may have lost arguably their best defenseman for “weeks.” The Stars sit nine points out of a Wild Card spot and this all but ruins their playoff chances.
Daley missed the final three games before the All Star break, but will return to the Stars blue line on Tuesday in Montreal. Daley, who has 21 points (11G / 10A) in 43 games, will be paired with Jason Demers and anchor the top power-play unit.
Daley will miss his third straight game with an undisclosed injury on Tuesday and coach Lindy Ruff said he is not sure if Daley will be ready for the Stars first game after the All Star break, which is next Tuesday in Montreal.
Daley suffered an undisclosed injury during Thursday’s loss to the Jets. He will not play tonight, so expect him to be replaced by either David Schlemko or Jyrki Jokipakka. He is day-to-day.
Daley has missed the last 14 games with a high ankle sprain. He and Sergei Gonchar (concussion) will both return to the Stars lineup.
Daley has been out since December 5, but could return after a 14 game absence. He had one goal and four assists in 27 games.
Daley will join Stephane Robidas on IR as top-4 defensemen that the Stars will be without for an extended period of time. Daley had a goal and four assists in the first 27 games this season. Jamie Oleksiak and Kevin Connauton will now be featured on the Stars blueline quite frequently over the next few weeks.
The Stars lost Daley early in the second period of Thursday night’s game in Toronto when he and Maple Leafs forward James van Riemsdyk got tangled up while battling for the puck. Daley went down and then slid into the end boards. Daley had to be helped off the ice. He did not return to the game and the Stars said he had a lower body injury. “He’s got an injury that looks like it’s going to be a little bit of time,” said Stars coach Lindy Ruff. “Our people will evaluate it, but I can just tell you that it’s going to be nothing that is going to be short-term.”
Daley has been dealing with an upper-body injury throughout the preseason. If he is in the lineup on Thursday as Ruff suggests, then you will likely see him alongside Jordie Benn.
“It looks like Trevor will miss a little bit of time,” said Stars coach Lindy Ruff. “I don’t think he’ll be able to start the season, but it won’t be a long time.” Daley, who was injured in Friday’s preseason game against Florida in San Antonio, wasn’t ready to say he’d miss the start of the season. “No, no. I am hoping not,” Daley said. “We’ll give it two days and we’ll have a better idea after two days.”
