Johnson is nearing a return to the Lightning lineup, but it won’t be against the Red Wings tonight. Johnson ditched his non-contact sweater this morning, which is a big step forward, so monitor his status prior to Saturday’s game vs. the Canadiens.
Johnson will miss his second straight game with a lower-body injury that he suffered last Thursday vs. the Wild. He traveled with the team which suggests he shouldn’t be sidelined longterm, but there’s nothing to suggest that he will play on the trip.
Johnson suffered a lower-body injury on Thursday and is listed as day-to-day and will miss tonight’s game vs. Florida. The Lightning will also be without Vladislav Namestnikov and Cedric Paquette, so expect them to go with 11 forwards and seven defenseman.
Johnson left last night’s game following a hit from Wild forward Nino Niederreiter. His injury could leave a big hole in fantasy lineups as he has been hot for the better part of two months—Johnson has collected six goals and 12 assists (18 points) in his last 17 games. The Lightning get back in action on Saturday, so expect an update on Johnson’s status in the next 24 hours.
Johnson suffered an injury on Tuesday and will likely miss both games this weekend. Luckily for the Lightning they are expected to get Ondrej Palat and Alex Killorn back in the lineup to replace Johnson. Monitor his status heading into next week.
Johnson took part in the Lightning’s optional morning skate this morning, but remains a game-time decision for Game 1 vs. the Red Wings. The Lightning vs. Red Wings get underway at 7:00 p.m., so monitor his status when they hit the ice for warmups at 6:30 p.m. Johnson torched the Red Wings last season, scoring six goals with one assist (seven points) in seven games. He finished the playoffs with 23 points (13G / 10A).
Johnson centred the Lightning’s top line in Tuesday’s practice and appears to be on track to play in Game 1 vs. the Red Wings. Johnson is expected to take part in Wednesday’s morning skate before he makes a decision whether or not he can play in the series opener.
Johnson suffered an upper-body injury in the Lightning’s season finale on Saturday and did not return. He was not on the ice for Monday’s practice so the Lightning will wait and see if he is available for Tuesday’s practice.
Johnson has missed the last seven games with an undisclosed injury and he skated on the second line in Sunday’s practice which suggested he might return tonight. However, he remains iffy and you will need to monitor his status during pre-game warmups.
Johnson missed three games with an undisclosed injury, but returned to the lineup on Sunday. Johnson didn’t record a point, but played a healthy 17:40. Johnson and the Lightning had a lot of hype surrounding them entering the season, but Johnson has just 11 points (4G / 7A) in 22 games this year. He would make for an interesting buy-low option right now.
Johnson is expected to miss his second straight game with an undisclosed injury. Despite Johnson being doubtful tonight, he could return during the road trip which continues on Saturday and Sunday in San Jose and Los Angeles.
Johnson has been battling injuries for the last two weeks. Johnson was injured early in last Friday’s game and missed Saturday’s contest. Thankfully for Johnson owners, the Lightning don’t play until Wednesday, but Johnson’s absence from practice puts his status in doubt.
