Kennedy had two goals and three assists (five points) in 13 games with the Islanders last season, but went unsigned this summer. He will tryout for the Devils this week.

Kennedy skated on Tuesday in the Sharks’ first practice after the All-Star break, but was not on the ice on Wednesday. “He skated well yesterday, and was sore after,” Coach McLellan said. The Sharks have yet to determine if a player will be recalled from Worcester,
Kennedy has been out since December 6th, but will return to the lineup tonight vs. Arizona. He will take Andrew Desjardins place in the lineup, because Desjardins is with his wife awaiting the birth of their child.
Kennedy left Saturday’s game game with an upper-body injury and did not return. Kennedy was spotted seeing a sling following Saturday’s game so he will not be in the lineup tonight in Edmonton. Expect Tye McGinn to get back into the lineup.

The Sharks are still waiting for Kennedy to make his season debut, but he is now one step closer. The 28-year-old tallied two goals and one assist in three games with Worcester during his conditioning stint. Look for him to play on Thursday vs. Vancouver.

Kennedy was moved up to Crosby's spot on the first line during Saturday's game. However he was quickly swapped out in favor of Brandon Sutter. Kennedy was in Sid's spot this morning so it looks like he will get another crack between Kunitz and Dupuis. This will certainly boost his fantasy value, but make sure it is a permanent move before rushing to the waiver-wire to add him.
Trevor Smith was called up and took Kennedy's spot in the lineup.
