The Kings have acquired Vincent Lecavalier and Luke Schenn from the Flyers in exchange for Jordan Weal and a 2016 3rd round pick.

Lecavalier has not appeared in a game since November 12th and has only played in seven games this season, registering a single assist. The Flyers will reportedly retain half of his salary but this deal still opens up some much needed salary space for the Flyers. Lecavalier should slot into a bottom-6 role with the Kings.

Lecavalier will be a healthy scratch vs. his former team on Tuesday.

Lecavalier has not been in the lineup in two weeks. He last suited up on November 29th vs. the Rangers and will be a scratch for the seventh consecutive game tomorrow. "It's not just because it's Tampa," Lecavalier said after Monday's practice. "I just want to play. I said pretty much everything last week. There's nothing to say. Practice hard and be ready mentally if I get a chance to play."

Lecavalier (lower-body) was back at Flyers practice on Monday.

Lecavalier has not played in the last six games, but he was believed to be a “healthy scratch” for at least three of those games. His return to practice today is a sign that he is getting healthy, but there is no word when he will get back into the lineup.

Lecavalier (foot) is expected to return to the Flyers lineup on Saturday.

Lecavalier was a full-go in practice on Friday and skated on a line with R.J Umberger and Wayne Simmonds as well as participated in power-play drills, which are both signs that he should make a return to the lineup tomorrow. Vinny has missed the last seven games with a foot injury he suffered on October 11th.

Lecavalier (foot) will travel with the Flyers to Florida.

Lecavalier will miss his sixth straight game tonight but he will travel with the team this week, however his status still remains up in the air. He participated in the morning skate which is another positive, but as of right now, he remains without a target date.

Lecavalier (foot) is practicing with the Flyers this morning.

Lecavalier has not practiced since October 11th because of a foot injury he suffered in the third game of the season. He was only expected to skate on his own this morning, so staying on for the practice is a good sign that he foot is healing well. He is considered day-to-day and likely won't be back until next week.

Lecavalier (lower-body) will miss two weeks.

Lecavalier was off to a nice start to the season, with one goal and two assists in the first three games, but will miss two weeks with the lower-body injury. He will likely land on IR for a brief period of time. Expect the Flyers to recall a forward from Lehigh Valley (AHL).
