





Hinostroza had a goal, an assist, four SOG, two PIMs and a +2 plus/minus in two games played so far in 2023-24 but has been reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) Thursday. The 29-year-old winger heads back to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton where he was succeeding prior to his NHL promotion with two goals, four points and two PIMs in five games played.

Hinostroza had two goals, nine assists, 38 SOG, six PIMs and a -1 plus/minus through 26 games played with Buffalo in 2022-23 and has singed a one-year, $775,000 AAV contract with Pittsburgh. The 29-year-old centre will be joining his fifth NHL team and has 53 goals, 95 assists and 99 PIMs across 360 games played through eight season.





Hinostroza had eight assists, 23 SOG and a -2 plus/minus through 19 games this season with Buffalo but has been reassigned to Rochester (AHL) Wednesday after clearing waivers. J.J. Peterka has been recalled in his place.

Hinostroza has eight assists, 23 SOG, six PIMs and a -2 plus/minus rating through 19 games this season but will be a healthy scratch Monday vs. the Panthers. He is replaced in the Sabres' lineup by Zemgus Girgensons.


Hinostroza has not played since Nov.30th due to an undisclosed injury but will return to the Sabres' lineup Thursday as they head to Colorado. The 28-year-old had eight assists and 17 SOG through 15 games played prior to his injury.

It's unclear what is ailing Hinostroza but he missed his second straight game on Sunday and is considered day-to-day. His next chance to play is Wednesday in Columbus.

Hinostroza will be a healthy scratch yet again Thursday as the Sabres take on the Avalanche. The 28-year-old heads to the press box having eight assists and 17 SOG through 15 games played.

Hinostroza will head to the press box due to Rasmus Asplund returning to the lineup Monday. The 28-year-old has eight assists and 16 SOG while playing a limited role across 16 games played.

The 28-year-old Centre will see his first action of 2022-23 as he takes the spot of Jack Quinn in the Sabres' lineup Tuesday. In his first season in Buffalo in 2021-22, Hinostroza scored 13 goals to go along with 25 points and 92 shots across 62 games.
