The Coyotes did not tender the RFA, letting him hit the open market and signing on with the Panthers. He also spent some time in Rockford (AHL) where he was near a point-per-game with 22 points (9G / 13A) in 23 games. Hinostroza projects to be a middle-6 forward to start the 2019 season.
Hinostroza missed Saturday's game to attend to a family matter, but he will be back in this afternoon. Hinostroza will replace Anthony Duclair, who suffered a lower-body injury in yesterday's loss in Boston.

The Blackhawks did not announce who he will replace in the lineup, but look for him to take Lance Bouma’ spot in the bottom-6.

Hinostroza, 21, was a sixth round pick (169th overall) in 2012. The 5-foot-9, 180 lbs. forward had 44 points (11G / 33A) in 42 games at the University of Notre Dame last year, before moving to the AHL. In seven career games for Rockford, he totalled three assists. He will make his NHL debut tonight vs. Columbus.
