Ottawa will keep a familiar face around after the team announced it will sign Wyatt Bongiovanni to a one-year, two-way contract. The 25-year-old forward will rejoin the Belleville Senators (AHL) for his 5th season of pro hockey in 2025-26 after putting up 22 goals and 33 points in 54 games in 2024-25.

Bongiovanni was traded to the Senators for future considerations on March 15th and finished with 10 points (8G / 2A) in 14 games with the Belleville Senators (AHL). In total, he had 16 goals and nine assists (25 points) in 48 AHL games last year. He should start the 2024-25 season in the AHL.

Bongiovanni is an undrafted 24-year-old from Mississippi who has spent the past three seasons with the Manitoba Moose (AHL). In 34 games this season, Bongiovanni has 15 points (8G / 7A) with Manitoba.
