The Devils have acquired Zachary Emond, Timo Meier, Scott Harrington, Santeri Hatakka, Timur Ibragimov, and a 2024 5th Round Pick from the Sharks for Shakir Mukhamadullin, Fabian Zetterlund, Nikita Okhotyuk, Andreas Johnsson, a Conditional 2023 1st Round Pick, a Conditional 2024 2nd Round Pick and a 2024 7th Round Pick.

Emond was a sixth-round pick in 2018 and has appeared in just four games this season with Wichita (ECHL). During his time in the AHL a season ago, Emond was 3-4-2 with a 4.48 GAA and .867 SV%.

Signing

The Sharks have signed Zachary Emond to an entry-level contract.

Emond is an 18-year-old netminder who the Sharks selected in the sixth-round (No. 176 overall) in 2018. Emond was an absurd 24-0-1 with a 1.73 GAA and .932 SV% with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, who won the Memorial Cup.
