Arizona is expected to waive Adam Ruzicka for the purposes of contract termination.

Ruzicka made his Coyotes debut on February 12th and has played three games with the team since being claimed on waivers from the Calgary Flames earlier this month. In 42 games this season, the Slovak-born Ruzicka has nine points (3G / 6A). He is expected to have his contract terminated upon clearing waivers.

Kassian was released from a PTO by Anaheim at the end of the preseason and has announced his retirement after 12 NHL seasons on Wednesday. The 32-year-old played 661 games for four different NHL teams (EDM, VAN, BUF, ARI) and had 92 goals, 203 points and 913 PIMs. He last played for Arizona in 2022-23, where he had two goals, zero assists, 50 PIMs and a -18 plus/minus in 51 games played.

Ladd last played in the NHL in 2021-22 for the Arizona Coyotes and announced his retirement from professional hockey after 16 NHL seasons on Sunday. The 37-year-old was a two-time Stanley Cup Champion who finished his impressive career with 256 goals, 294 assists, 615 PIMs, and 2151 SOG across 1001 career games played.

The Coyotes signed Alex Galchenyuk to a one-year, two-way contract.

Galchenyuk was traded from Colorado to Nashville for Ryan Johansen the week before free agency but never received a contract from the Predators. So, he returns to the Coyotes' organization, where he had 21 points (6G / 15A) in 60 games during the 2022 season. Arizona is one of the most likely destinations for him to get NHL playing time, however they look deeper than they have in recent years after also adding Jason Zucker, Alex Kerfoot and Nick Bjugstad in free agency.
