The 27-year-old returns to Columbus for a second time this season, having failed to pick up a point in his one-game showing with the Blue Jackets earlier this season.

Sweezey has 11 assists, 62 PIMs and a -12 plus/minus in 52 games with the Cleveland Monsters (AHL) and has been recalled Monday on an emergency basis. The 27-year-old returns to Columbus for a second time this season, having failed to pick up a point in his one-game showing with the Blue Jackets' earlier this season.

Swayman will start Thursday vs. the Canadiens.

Swayman picked up his second-straight shutout in his previous start, with a 26-save blanking of the Buffalo Sabres his last time between the pipes. The 24-year-old has been arguably the league's best backup netminder, with his 18-6-4 record, 2.20 GAA and .920 SV%. He takes on the Montreal Canadiens, who have lost nine of their last 11 games and are 30th in the NHL in shots on goal (27.3).
