Barrie (undisclosed) will be back in Colorado’s lineup on Tuesday.

Barrie has missed the last four games but will play Tuesday in Pittsburgh. Mark Alt is expected to be a healthy scratch with Barrie back in. Barrie has 20 points (3G / 17A), a plus-13 rating and 53 shots on goal in 23 games this season.

Mantha is out indefinitely with an undisclosed injury.

Mantha will miss Tuesday’s game against the Lightning with an undisclosed injury but GM Ken Holland said the winger could possibly be out long-term. Mantha will be re-evaluated later in the day and the Red Wings should provide more details on the nature of the injury. With Mantha out, rookie Michael Rasmussen could take on an expanded role but this injury is devastating for a Red Wings team that was playing better than most people expected.

The Hurricanes have recalled Clark Bishop from Charlotte (AHL).

Bishop has split his time between the NHL and AHL this season. Bishop has no points in seven games with the Hurricanes but has five points (3G / 2A) in 12 games with the Checkers. Bishop would play Friday if Micheal Ferland (undisclosed) is unavailable.

Barrie (undisclosed) will not play on Tuesday.

Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar announced that Barrie will not be available tonight but did not indicate what is ailing the offensive-defenseman. Consider Barrie as day-to-day until the Avalanche provides a more detailed update. Mark Barberio will replace him in the lineup.

Bean will make his NHL debut on Tuesday.

Bean was selected No.13 overall back in 2016 and will make his debut on the third pair with Trevor van Riemsdyk. Bean, who is in his first AHL season after spending four years in the WHL, has collected 11 points (3G / 8A) in 21 games with the Checkers. Bean brings some more offence to an already talented blue line in Carolina and carries some interesting punt value in daily formats.
