Staal (leg) will make his season debut on Monday.

Staal has not played yet this season after fracturing his fibula in the preseason. He will make his season debut on a line with his brother Eric and Nathan Gerbe. He had 40 points (15G / 25A) in 82 games last season. If he can play at that pace again this season, he would be able to post close to 25 points in the remaining 47 games.

The Canadiens recalled Dustin Tokarski from Hamilton (AHL) on Sunday.

Tokarski, who has not started for the Habs since November 29th, was sent down to Hamilton to get some game action. In two games he went 1-1-0 with a 2.52 GAA and .919 SV%. Now back with the big club, expect Tokarski to back-up Carey Price tomorrow vs. the Islanders.

The Canadiens hav assigned Dustin Tokarski to Hamilton for a two-game conditioning stint.

Tokarski has not played since November 29th and the Canadiens have a back-to-back following the Christmas break, so they want to get Tokarski a few games so he will be ready to go following the break. With Tokarski being sent back, that all but guarantees that Price will start tomorrow and Tuesday.

Andersen will make his 20th consecutive start.

Andersen was yanked after he allowed four goals on 20 shots in the Ducks loss to the Maple Leafs on Tuesday. The loss snapped a seven game winning streak for Andersen. Seven in a row sounds good, but Andersen has a 2.67 GAA and .903 SV% over the eight game span—showing the Ducks are really winning in spite of Andersen, not because of him.
