Andersen was the first off at the Ducks morning skate.

Andersen was beat by one of 31 shots that he faced in last Thursday's 2-1 win over the Kings. In his last four starts (plus one relief appearance) he is 4-0-0 with a 1.60 GAA and .948 SV%. He is one of the best spot-start options in the NHL right now, so take advantage when he gets the nod.

Andersen leads the Ducks onto the ice for warmups.

Andersen stopped 31 of 32 shots in a win over the Canucks on Wednesday. With the Ducks entering the second game of a back-to-back he will relieve Jonas Hiller tonight in St. Louis. He has been excellent this season posting a 1.98 GAA and .927 SV% in 13 appearances. However, he is a risky start vs. a tough Blues team.

Stastny (leg) "probably will play Saturday in Nashville," Patrick Roy said. "It's still day to day, but the target is Nashville. I could be wrong by one game."

Stastny will miss his second straight game tonight but could be back in the lineup on Saturday. The Avalanche are dealing with a lot of injuries right now, but Stastny is the biggest of them all. Monitor his status as Saturday approaches.

Andersen was the first goalie off of the ice at the Ducks' morning skate, however Jonas Hiller did not skate because he is sick.

Hiller has not officially been ruled out, so as of right now there is still a chance that he could get the nod tonight vs. Vancouver. If he is unfit to play, look for Andersen to take on the Canucks at the Honda Center. Andersen is 10-2-0 with a 2.07 GAA and .923 SV% this season.

No update on Paul Stastny (leg) today, but I’m hearing he’s OK. Might be questionable for Tuesday’s game, but we’ll know for sure tomorrow at practice.

Stastny was forced to leave the game after playing just 10:21 in Saturday's win over the Wild. Stastny has had a great season to-date and this would be a tough loss for the Avalanche to deal with. Since the calendar switched to 2014, Stastny has two goals and seven assists in six games. Monitor his status on Tuesday.

The Ducks have reassigned Frederik Andersen to Norfolk (AHL).

Andersen allowed three goals on 26 shots in a win over the Predators last night, but as been sent down so he can get more playing time, something he his not getting behind a red-hot Jonas Hiller right now. He is expected to start tonight with Norfolk. Andersen has a bright future ahead of him, but he is only a spot-start option when with the Ducks at this point in his career.
