Andersen will start on Thursday vs. Florida.

Anderson has not lost since returning from blood clots on March 7th and will look to extend his two-game win streak on Thursday vs. Florida. The 34-year-old has an incredibly impressive record (6-1-0) despite his injury-riddled season but will look to improve on both his .904 SV% and .249 GAA. He will host one of the league's hottest teams in the Florida Panthers, who have won eight of their last 10 games and lead the NHL in shots per game (33.9).

Kochetkov will start against the Rangers on Tuesday.

Kochetkov did not play the last games for the Hurricanes but will return to the crease on Tuesday night. The 24-year-old netminder has allowed two or fewer goals in five of his last six games (4-2-0), including saving 23 of 25 shots (.920 SV%) in his last outing, a 4-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils. The Hurricanes enter action as -159 home favourites against a New York Rangers club that defeated the New Jersey Devils 3-1 last night.

The Hurricanes have acquired Ty Smith and Jake Guentzel from the Penguins for Michael Bunting, Ville Koivunen, Vasili Ponomarev, Cruz Lucius, a conditional first-round pick and a conditional fifth-round pick.

Smith was a first-round pick (No.17 overall) in 2018 and made an early splash with the Devils, but did not have the same impact with the Penguins after being traded for John Marino in July 2022. Smith has spent the entire 2023-24 season in the AHL, where he had nine goals and 23 assists (32 points) in 51 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

Andersen has been out since November 2nd, 2023 due to blood clots but will make his much-awaited return to Carolina's crease on Thursday vs. Montreal. The 34-year-old veteran netminder got off to a winning start to originally begin the season, with his 4-1-0 record, 2.87 GAA and .894 SV%. He will host the Montreal Canadiens, who have struggled as of late with seven losses in their last nine games and are 27th in the NHL in goals per game (2.79).

Andersen (blood clots) has been activated off Injured Reserve.

Andersen was diagnosed with deep-vein thrombosis and subsequent pulmonary embolisms in November. He has actively participated in practice the last several weeks and could return to the lineup imminently after being activated from IR on Thursday. Anderson has a 2.87 GAA and .894 SV% in six games this season (4-1-0), and at the very least, he will likely return to a timeshare between the pipes.
