Brodie (hand) will travel on the Flames upcoming road trip; expected to start practicing soon.

Brodie is exactly four weeks into a 3-6 week timetable for his return from a broken hand. It is unknown how many practices Brodie will need before he makes his season debut, but it is positive news that he will travel with the team.

Khudobin leads the Ducks onto the ice for warmups.

Khudobin was yanked after allowing three goals on eight shots in his Ducks debut on Wednesday. Frederik Andersen was expected to get the start tonight, but the Ducks will give Khudobin a chance to redeem himself. He will face a Wild team who is eighth in the NHL in scoring so far this season.

Khudobin will make his Ducks debut on Wednesday vs. Arizona.

Khudobin will make his Ducks debut after sitting for the first two games. Khudobin was 2-0-0 with a 0.86 GAA and .970 SV% in three preseason games. Khudobin comes into play tonight with a career 2.40 GAA and .919 SV%. Tonight he will take on the Coyotes, who are surprisingly off to a 2-0 start to the season.

Brodie is expected to miss 3-6 weeks with a broken bone in his right hand.

This is a tough break for Brodie and the Flames to start the season. If he misses just three weeks, he would only miss the first week of the season, but there is a chance he could be sidelined until the first week of November. With Brodie out, the Flames will have to find someone to fill in—Tyler Wotherspoon and Jakub Nakladal are likely the front runners.

Brossoit will start his first NHL game on Thursday.

Brossoit, 22, had a tough time in a brief AHL stint last season, but came into 2014-15 much stronger. He went 22-21-4 with a 2.65 GAA and .916 SV% in 49 games with Oklahoma City, which prompted the Oilers to recall him and let him make his NHL debut in a meaningless game against the Sharks.
