Cale Makar will miss his fifth-straight game Wednesday vs. New Jersey (concussion protocol).

Makar has missed the Avalanche's previous four games due to a concussion and remains out of the lineup Monday vs. Vegas. The 24-year-old superstar has 13 goals, 32 assists, 142 SOG, 26 PIMs and a +6 plus/minus through 46 games this season.

Annunen was fantastic in his only start of the season, stopping 19 of 20 shots (.950 SV%) in a win over St. Louis his last time out for the Avalanche. The 22-year-old is making his third career start across two seasons, and has a perfect 2-0-0 record, .887 SV% and 1.01 GAA. He will take on the New Jersey Devils, who have won four of their last five games after a 7-0 win over Philadelphia last game.

Georgiev stopped 28 of 29 shots (.966 SV%) for his fourth-straight victory as he beat Calgary in his last start. The 27-year-old has taken a massive step forward in his first season as a starter, with his 25-12-4 record, .920 SV% and 2.63 GAA. He will take on the Vegas Golden Knights, who have won six of their last eight games and are 10th in the NHL in shots per game (32.8).

The 22-year-old will be hoping for some similar success in his second start as he currently holds a 1.85 GAA and .958 SV%. He faces an incredibly tough challenge in the Boston Bruins Monday, who have the best record in the NHL and have won their last three games after a 6-2 win over the Islanders last game.
