Helm is hoping to return within three weeks, much earlier than his timetable of 4-6 weeks. The Red Wings' center scored nine goals and 26 points in 68 games.

Helm isn't certain how long he will be out, with what appears to be a left knee or leg injury suffered in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the San Jose Sharks, but it doesn't sound like it's a day-to-day situation.

Helm is just the latest member of the Red Wings to go down at the wrong time. No word on how long he will miss but the speedy center is not expected to play for a few games.

Sounds like Parise narrowly escaped a concussion. The Devils' captain now has 27 goals and 56 points in 64 games which includes a hat trick last night. Keep a close eye on Parise as concussions can remain dormant for a few days.
