The Panthers have placed Erik Gudbranson (upper-body) on IR.
Gudbranson will miss his third straight game tonight and has been placed on IR in order to create a roster spot for the Panthers to recall Garret Wilson from Portland (AHL). Gudbranson remains day-to-day.
Gudbranson will not play on Saturday due to an upper-body injury.
van Riemsdyk will miss 6-8 weeks with a non-displaced fracture in his left foot.
van Riemsdyk suffered the injury in Saturday’s blowout loss in San Jose. JVR leads the Maple Leafs in points with 29 (14G / 15A), but they’ll be without him for at least the next six weeks. Six weeks would have him returning in time for their game on February 23rd vs. Nashville—which means he’ll miss the next 17 games.
Johnson (upper-body) will be back in the Blue Jackets lineup on Monday.
Johnson missed the last two games with an upper-body injury, but will be back in the lineup tonight in Pittsburgh. Johnson has not registered a point and has posted a minus-6 rating in his last five games. With Johnson back in, Kevin Connauton will come out of the lineup.

Severson will be back in the Devils lineup on Tuesday.
Severson was a healthy scratch in Saturday’s game in Washington but will be back in the lineup tonight in Nashville. Severson is arguably the Devils’ best offensive-defenseman and he tallied three shots in the season opener.
The Blue Jackets have selected Zachary Werenski with the 8th overall pick.
The Flyers have selected Ivan Provorov with the 7th overall pick.
Gaudreau appears to be a healthy scratch this afternoon.
Line Change
Monahan (rest) will not play on Saturday.
Monahan played in all 81 games leading up to today, but will be held out of the lineup this afternoon. After scoring 22 goals in his rookie season Monahan followed it up with 31 goals and 31 assists (62 points) this year.
Gudbranson (upper-body) will not play on Saturday.
Gudbranson was injured in the Panthers win over the Bruins on Thursday. He will be held out of the season finale and is expected to be replaced by Steven Kampfer. Gudbranson finishes the season with 13 points (4G / 9A), a minus-4 rating and 58 PIMS in 76 games.
Gudbranson is doubtful for Saturday with an upper-body injury.
Gudbranson left Thursday’s game with an upper-body injury and will likely be held out of the season finale since the game means absolutely nothing for the Panthers.
Johnson is questionable for Thursday because of an illness.
Johnson was sent home this morning because of an illness and he is questionable for tonight’s game against the Islanders. Monitor his status leading up to and during pre-game warmups. Justin Falk will play if Johnson can’t go.
