Seguin did not play in the third period for the Stars after suffering an undisclosed injury in the third period. Sam Steel replaced Seguin on the second line with Matt Duchene and Mason Marchment. Seguin's status for Thursday's game is still undetermined, and any absence would be unfortunate for the Stars as Seguin has had a resurgent season, scoring 17 points (8G / 9A) through 24 games.

Smith was suspended two games for an aggressive slash to Philadelphia's Travis Konecny but will return to the Devils' lineup Thursday vs. Seattle. The 34-year-old veteran defensemen has not scored in 81 games since joining New Jersey in 2022-23 but has two assists, 21 SOG, 32 PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 21 games this season.

DeSmith will start for only the second time since November 16th as the Canucks take on the red-hot Minnesota Wild. DeSmith has allowed four goals in each of his last two starts (0-2-0), posting a .867 SV%. The Canucks have failed to string together consecutive victories in over three weeks but are still slight -109 home favourites against a Minnesota Wild team that has not lost since John Hynes took over as head coach (4-0-0), outscoring their opposition 18-5.

Dadonov was a healthy scratch for the Stars' previous game but will draw back into the lineup Wednesday vs. Florida. The 34-year-old veteran right-winger has struggled defensively this season despite his semi-productive counting stats, with four goals, four assists, 26 SOG, two PIMs and a -8 plus/minus in 21 games played prior to his healthy scratch.

Oettinger will draw his third-straight start after dropping his previous game to Tampa Bay after allowing four goals on 23 shots (.826 SV%) but will look for redemption Wednesday vs. Florida. The 24-year-old goaltender has been one of the league's best yet again in 2023-24, with his 10-5-2 record, 2.53 GAA and .915 SV%. He will take on the Panthers on the road Wednesday, who have lost four of their six games and are second in the NHL in shots per game (34.1).

Oettinger's play has been somewhat up and down lately but has saved 59 of 60 shots (.983 SV%) over his last two games (2-0-0) and will return to the crease on the road, where he has been tremendous all season. On home ice this season, Oettinger has a lacklustre 3.00 GAA and .894 SV% in eight games (4-3-1), night and day, compared to his sensational 1.87 GAA and .942 SV% in eight road games (6-1-1). Oettinger and the Stars are -116 road favourites against a Tampa Bay Lightning team that has lost four straight, including an 8-1 loss to the Stars on Saturday.

Konecny was fined $5,000 for a cross check which resulted in Brendan Smith's retaliatory slash which has led to the Devils' defensemen being suspended for two-games. Smith will miss the Devils' game Friday vs. San Jose and Tuesday against Vancouver. The 34-year-old veteran has no goals, two assists, 21 SOG, 32 PIMs and a -2 plus/minus in 21 games played prior to his suspension.

Oettinger will start for the third consecutive game on Tuesday and look to rebound from a terrible performance in his most recent contest. On Friday, Oettinger allowed six goals on 26 shots (.769 SV%) en route to a 7-4 loss to the Calgary Flames and has fallen off significantly after a tremendous start to the season. After posting a .933 SV% in his first nine games (6-2-1), Oettinger has only managed a .865 SV% in his five games since (2-2-1). That said, Oettinger has been significantly stronger on the road this season, posting a .935 SV% in seven road games (5-1-1). The Stars are -118 road favourites against a Winnipeg Jets team coming off their first loss in six games (5-1-0).

Dumba did not play on Saturday but is expected to return to the Coyotes' lineup on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Dumba has four points (2G / 2A) in 19 games this season and will likely play alongside Travis Dermott on the third defensive pair.
