His raise will make him the sixth-highest paid defenseman (as of now) in 2021-22 with an $8.45M AAV cap-hit. Heiskanen is an absolute workhorse for the Stars, ranking ninth in the NHL in TOI/gm (24:58) last season.
Wells was a fifth-round pick of the Oilers in 2016 and went 0-4-1 with a 3.77 GAA and .878 SV% in seven AHL starts in 2021. Wells is an RFA but if he's tendered to his qualifying offer in the next week, the Hurricanes would then meet the exposure requirements for the Seattle Expansion Draft.
Lind has splayed in six straight games but will come out of the lineup on Monday with Zack MacEwen returning from a one-game suspension.
Seguin has yet to play this season but is nearing his debut and could come Monday in Florida. When Seguin does play, he will likely centre the second line with Jamie Benn and Denis Gurianov on his wings. Seguin had 17 goals and 33 assists (50 points) in 69 games last year.
Marchment has missed the last six games with an upper-body injury but will play Monday vs. the Stars. Marchment, who has spent most of the season on the wing, will play centre because Sam Bennett is out with an upper-body injury of his own.
Lind was the No.33 overall pick in 2017 and is set to make his NHL debut on Thursday. The 22-year-old winger has scored five goals with three assists (eight points) in eight games with Utica (AHL) this season.
