The original timetable the Stars put on Seguin was 2-4, but now it sounds like he could be out until mid-to-late March. The Stars had just pulled within striking distance of the playoffs, but this one hurts.

Seguin will miss at least 14 days with a knee injury after last night's hit from Dmitry Kulikov. Kulikov will have a hearing and is likely to be suspended for at least five games, but that will be much less than Seguin misses. If he misses two weeks he will miss the Stars next seven games.

Seguin suffered the lower-body injury on a questionable low hit from Dmitry Kulikov last night. His movement to IR means that Seguin will miss at least the next three games, but there is no word on how long he will be out past that.

Seguin left Friday’s game with a lower-body injury with just seven minutes left in the game. He was hit around the knees by Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov and had to be helped off of the ice. Seguin will be re-evaluated on Saturday and the Stars should release more information after that.

Seguin missed Tuesday’s morning skate, but played later that night and same will go with missing practice today and playing on Friday. Seguin has one goal and five assists in his last six games.

Seguin did not participate in the morning skate, but is on the ice for warmups and is expected to be play tonight vs. his former team. Seguin has five goals and 10 assists (15 points) in his last 11 games.

Seguin was sent back to the team hotel this morning and did not take part in the Stars morning skate. He is battling the flu and could miss tonight’s game. However, given it is in Boston against his former team, Seguin will likely do anything he can to be in the lineup tonight. Seguin has two assists in three career games vs. Boston.

Dumba, 20, who played his junior hockey in Red Deer, Alberta, is expected to play tonight in nearby Calgary. Dumba has five points (2G / 3A) in 23 games with Minnesota. With his time in Iowa, he has collected 14 points (5G / 9A) in 20 games.

Petrovic was recalled on Wednesday and will be in the lineup tonight. He will replace Dylan Olsen and likely be paired with Erik Gudbranson. Petrovic leads all San Antonio (AHL) blue liners with 19 points (3G / 16A) this season.

Petrovic, 22, leads all San Antonio defensemen in points with 19 (3G / 16A) in 39 games. He has yet to play with the Panthers this season, but has one assist in 13 career games over the last two years.

Dumba, 20, had one goal and three assists in 20 games with the Wild before being sent down. In Iowa he scored four goals with eight assists for 12 points in 17 games. Expect him to be in the lineup tomorrow in Buffalo.

Seguin was sent home from practice with an illness on Monday, but was on the ice this morning, which is a good sign that he will play tonight vs. the Senators. Seguin has one goal and four assists in his last six games.

Dallas doesn’t play until Tuesday vs. Ottawa, so Seguin was sent home this morning to rest up with the hope that he will be available for tomorrow’s game.

Seguin missed yesterday's practice because he had his wisdom teeth removed on Sunday, but he is back on the ice today and will be in the lineup tonight vs. the Kings. He will centre the top line with Jamie Benn and Valeri Nichushkin on his wings.

The Stars are fully expecting to have their star winger in the lineup on Tuesday vs. the Kings. He is off to a stellar start to the season, recording seven goals (t-4th in NHL) and eight assists (t-15th) for 15 points (t-3rd) in 11 games this season. Monitor his status during Tuesday's morning skate.

There is no word as to why Seguin was absent from the skate, but we should get an update from coach Lindy Ruff shortly. Valeri Nichushkin skated in his spot on the top-line.

Seguin missed practice on Friday because of an illness, but stated that he should be available for Saturday night. Seguin had no points with one shot in 18:34 in the Stars' 3-2 shootout loss to the Blackhawks on Friday. Expect an update on Saturday morning.

Dumba, 20, played 13 games with the Wild last season before being sent back to juniors. He has cracked the Wild opening day roster and will play on the third pair with Christian Folin, but will also lineup on the top power-play unit next to Ryan Suter. If he can lock this spot down, he makes for a great pick-up and sleeper candidate. The second-year D-man has a ton of offensive talent, evidenced by his 24 points (8G / 16A) in 26 games with the Portland Winterhawks (WHL) last season.

Monitor Seguin's status during pre-game warmups, but if he is unable to go expect Chris Mueller, who was recalled today, to slide into the lineup.
