Matt Duchene won’t play tonight, but his status has been upgraded to day-to-day. Sounds like there is a slight chance now he might play in Winnipeg Sunday. I still think it’ll be at home coming off the road trip that he’ll return, but let’s see what tomorrow brings.

Avs coach Joe Sacco told me Matt Duchene, who again skated by himself today, will not accompany the team to St. Louis, but that he does expect Dutchy to travel with the team during next week’s three-game trip through Canada.

Benn practiced with his usual linemates and is expected to get right back into the lineup. He has 13 goals and 42 points through 43 games.

The Dallas Stars have activated Jamie Benn from injured reserve and assigned Tomas Vincour, Philip Larsen and Matt Fraser to the Texas Stars of the AHL.
Benn will play in the All-Star Game and is very likely to get back into the lineup when play resumes. He has 13 goals and 42 points in 43 games.

RALEIGH, NC – Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has acquired forwards Evgenii Dadonov (ehv-GEH-nee do-DON-nauv) and A.J. Jenks from the Florida Panthers in exchange for forwards Jon Matsumoto and Mattias Lindstrom.
Dadonov struggled to stick with the more-competitive Panthers this season, playing only 15 games. While in the AHL he scored five goals and nine points over 20 games. Expect him to get another look or two in Carolina.
