Glen Gulutzan: Jamie Benn gets out of hospital today. Doing very well.

Benn is still expected to miss a week to 10 days due to his emergency appendectomy. With Mike Ribeiro already out of the lineup the Stars are down their top two centers. Benn scored 13 goals and 42 points in 43 games. You can probably rule him out over the next five games.

Julien on Seguin: "He's in the lineup tonight... He missed a game, he's paid his dues... Page turned and we've moved on" ^BB

Seguin was scratched for disciplinary reasons but expect him to get right back into the lineup. The sophomore has 13 goals and 25 points in 25 games but 11 of those points came in a six-game scoring binge.

Young Avalanche forwards Matt Duchene and Gabriel Landeskog missed practice Sunday but both are expected to play in Monday's game against the Dallas Stars at the Pepsi Center.

Sounds like Duchy is nursing a minor illness and should be fine for tomorrow's game. He currently leads the team in goals with nine and points with 17. Start him with confidence tomorrow.

The Avalanche's young center, demoted to the fourth line for Saturday's game against Chicago, skated with new linemates at practice this morning — Chuck Kobasew and Joakim Lindstrom.

Through his first eight games, the former second overall pick scored a goal and four points. Look for him to bounce back from his demotion.

Tyler Seguin took a slash on the right leg from the Sharks’ Benn Ferriero just before the Bruins’ pulled goalie Tim Thomas tonight and he did not return to the game, but he said he was OK after the game.

Sounds like Seguin will be OK and won't miss any playing time. Through seven games this season he has two goals and eight points. Expect a further update on how the Bruins will handle this injury.
