Copp will miss his second straight game with a lower-body injury but the Rangers are hopeful that he will be ready for Game 1 of the playoffs.
Copp left Tuesday's game with a lower-body injury and will not play on Wednesday. Some other regulars will also sit out on Wednesday, so it's unclear if Copp's injury is serious or if this is a precaution.
Copp was hurt against the Islanders last Thursday after scoring a first period hat-trick. He missed Saturday's game in Boston but was on the ice for Monday's practice and will be a game-time decision on Tuesday. Since joining the Rangers at the trade deadline, Copp has scored eight goals with 10 assists (18 points) in 15 games.
Copp scored a hat-trick in the first period but then left with a lower-body injury against the Islanders on Thursday and is not expected to play Saturday in Boston. With both Copp and Filip Chytil (undisclosed) not likely to be available, look for two of Jonny Brodzinski, Greg McKegg and/or Julien Gauthier to draw into the lineup.
Chiasson missed the last two games with a non-COVID illness but will play Thursday in Minnesota. Chiasson has been red-hot as go late and should be back in a top-6 role and on the top PP unit.
Chiasson was scratched Monday vs. the Stars and is questionable to play in the second half of their back-to-back on Tuesday. Monitor his status as the Canucks hit the ice for warmups at 9:30 PM ET.
Chiasson has been playing very well recently, scoring six goals with four assists (10 points) in his last seven games. He was a late scratch on Monday and that leaves him questionable to play in the second half of the Canucks' back-to-back when they take on the Senators on Tuesday.
Larkin will miss the remainder of the 2021-22 season. Recovery time is expected to be 8-10 weeks. Larkin appeared in 70 games for Detroit this season and currently leads the team in both goals (31) and points (69).
