One of Edmonton's key depth pieces for their Stanley Cup run is returning in Mattias Janmark after the forward signed a three-year deal worth $4.35 million ($1.45M AAV) to remain with the Oilers. The 31-year-old is entering his third season in Edmonton and had four goals, 12 points, and 46 PIMs in 71 games played in 2023-24.

The Oilers have signed Jeff Skinner to a one-year deal worth $3.0 million.

After being bought out of his contract in Buffalo earlier this week, Jeff Skinner has signed a one-year, $3 million contract with Edmonton. The 32-year-old is entering his 15th NHL season and had 24 goals, 46 points, 211 SOG and 34 PIMs in 74 games played in 2023-24.

The Oilers have signed Collin Delia to a one-year, two-way deal.

Delia set career highs with Vancouver in games played (20) in 2023-24 and earned himself a one-year, two-way deal with Edmonton. The 30-year-old struggled while occupying Vancouver's crease last season, with his 10-6-2 record, 3.28 GAA and .882 SV%.

The Oilers have re-signed Corey Perry to a one-year deal worth $1.4 million.

After failing to win a Stanley Cup after reaching the finals for the fifth time in his career, Corey Perry is going to run it back with Edmonton after signing a one-year deal worth $1,400,000 AAV. The 39-year-old is entering his 20th NHL season after putting up 12 goals and 22 points in 54 games with Chicago and Edmonton in 2023-24.

The Oilers signed Josh Brown to a three-year deal worth $3.0 million ($1.0M AAV).

Brown will join his fifth NHL team in seven seasons after he signed a three-year deal worth $3.0 million ($1.0M AAV) with Edmonton. The 30-year-old appeared in 51 games with Arizona in 2023-24, picking up three goals, 10 points, and 75 PIMs.

The Oilers have signed Viktor Arvidsson to a two-year deal worth $8.0 million ($4.0M AAV).

After an injury-filled campaign in 2023-24 that consisted of 18 total games played, Viktor Arvidsson has decided to take his talents to Edmonton after signing a two-year deal worth $8.0 million ($4.0M AAV). The 31-year-old still managed an impressive six goals and 15 points despite only playing in 18 games in 2023-24 but has five 20+ goal seasons to his name over his 10-year career.

The Oilers have signed Connor Brown one-year deal worth $1.0M.

Brown did not do much in his first regular season with the Oilers, posting just four goals and eight assists (12 points) in 71 games. However, he was much more noticeable during their run to the Stanley Cup Final, posting two goals and four assists (six points) in 19 playoff games. Expect him to be used in the bottom-6 and on the PK again in 2024-25.

The Sabres have bought out Jeff Skinner's contract.

Skinner has three years left on a deal that carries a $9.0M AAV cap-hit. According to Cap Friendly, the buyout will save the Sabres $7.33 million but will keep Skinner on the books until the 2029-30 season. He'll cost them $1.445M AAV for the 2024-25 season. Skinner had a career year in 2023 but had just 24 goals and 22 assists (46 points) in 74 games last year.

Edmonton has resigned Calvin Pickard at a two-year, $2 million ($1,000,000 AAV) contract extension.

Pickard started the 2023-24 season as Edmonton's third goaltender but worked his way into a backup role by mid-season and has earned himself a two-year, $2 million ($1,000,000 AAV) contract extension. The 32-year-old travelling netminder had not played more than 11 games since 2016-17 but put together a solid season in 2023-24 with his 12-7-1 record, 2.45 GAA and .909 SV%.

Skinner allowed one goal on 21 shots in the Oilers' Game 6 win over the Panthers. After dropping the first three games of the series, Skinner has gone 3-0 while only giving up five goals on 86 shots (.942 SV%) in the last three games. He's now 14-8 with a .901 SV% in 22 playoff games.

Skinner got the Oilers back in the win column in Game 4, stopping 32 of 33 shots (.970 SV%) and will look to have some similar fortunes as Edmonton heads to Florida on Tuesday. The 25-year-old Edmonton native has had an up-and-down postseason so far, with his 12-8-0 record, 2.51 GAA and .898 SV%. He heads to Florida on Tuesday, where Edmonton will be looking to extend the series to six games and keep the Panthers from winning their first-ever Stanley Cup.
