Bobrovsky is coming off his third straight loss after stopping 18 of 22 shots (.818 SV%) in a 4-3 defeat to Philadelphia his last time out. The 34-year-old has struggled to start this season, posting a .897 SV% and 3.07 GAA to go along with a 2-3-1 record. He draws a good matchup with the San Jose Sharks who are 31st in the NHL in goals per game (2.42).

Kahkonen is coming off his first victory of the season, stopping 22 of 25 shots (.880 SV%) as the Sharks took a 4-3 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs his last time out. The Finnish netminder has struggled this season, posting a 3.33 GAA and a .875 SV% across four games played. Kahkonen will face a Ducks team who just snapped a seven-game losing streak Sunday in a 4-3 overtime win over Toronto Sunday.

It will be the first time this season the 26-year-old has been sent to the press box through seven games. He has yet to collect his first point of the season after picking up 13 points (3G/10A) in 54 games with the Blues in 2021-22.

Marchand is just returning from offseason hip surgery and will likely need a night's rest after returning almost a month ahead of schedule for the Bruins' 5-1 victory last night. Marchand did not miss a beat as he had two goals and an assist while playing 17:31 TOI. He will be back in the Bruins' lineup their next time out as this is nothing more than a day of rest.

Vanecek will start after winning a 20 save (.909 SV%) 6-2 performance over the Red Wings the Devils' last time out. After being acquired in the offseason, Vanecek has struggled since joining the Devils, posting a 1-1-0 record to go along with his .833 SV% and 3.43 GAA. He draws the task of facing last year's Stanley Cup Champions, the Colorado Avalanche, who are coming off two straight 3-2 victories over NYR and VGK.

Bobrovsky will be looking to bounce back after dropping his previous start 4-2 in an 18-save (.857 SV%) loss Tuesday. He carries a .908 SV% and 2.85 GAA into the start to go along with his 2-2-1 record. The Panthers will take on Philadelphia, who lost their last game 3-0 to the Sharks off the second game of a back to back.

Rasmus Asplund will be the odd man out Thursday as Buffalo continues their rotation of two in, one out, with Peyton Krebs and Jack Quinn. Through six games this season, the 24-year-old has three assists and is +6 with six SOG.

Yesterday the Bruins said that Marchand would not play the next two games, but Marchand will be in the lineup vs. Detroit on Thursday. The Bruins said he will not play in the back-to-back set, so he'll sit Friday in Columbus. Marchand will debut on a line with Patrice Bergeron and Jake DeBrusk.

Kahkonen had his best start of the season his last time out stopping 34 of 36 shots (.944) in a loss to New Jersey. He has struggled this season, losing all his starts (0-3-0) while posting a 3.46 GAA and a .873 SV%. He faces a Maple Leafs team that has struggled to get going so far offensively, ranking 25th in the NHL in GF (2.71).

Marchand was initially expected to be back by late-November but it sounds like he will play in the next week or two, putting him way ahead of schedule. Marchand, who had 80 points (32G / 48A) in 70 games last season, is expected to skate on a line with Patrice Bergeron and Jake DeBrusk and on PP1 when he's healthy.

Bobvorsky enters Tuesday after losing his last start in overtime allowing three goals on 32 shots (.906 SV%) as the Panthers were downed by Tampa Bay. He has enjoyed a strong start to the season so far, getting the Panthers points in three of his four starts (2-1-1) while posting a .916 SV% and 2.78 GAA. He shouldn't face a ton of shots Tuesday as the Blackhawks rank 30th in the NHL in SOG per game (25.0) but have won their last three games scoring 4 or more goals in each victory.

Greer missed the Bruins' previous 4-3 loss but will draw back into Boston's lineup Tuesday. He has been a fan favourite early on in his Bruins career, scoring three goals and five points through his first five games to start the 2022-23 season.
