Warren Foegele will not be out long-term with an undisclosed injury but will miss Monday vs. Florida.

Foegele left the Oilers' previous game vs. NYR due to an undisclosed injury after picking up an assist after only 10:32 TOI. The 26-year-old will miss Monday's content vs. Florida and is not expected to be out long-term which is good news to Edmonton as he has three goals and five points through the first 20 games of the season.

Darcy Kuemper will start Friday vs. Calgary.

Kuemper stopped 21 of 23 shots (.913 SV%) beating Philadelphia in his previous start. He has been decent in his first season with Washington, posting a 6-9-1 record along with a .908 SV% and 2.77 GAA. He takes on the Calgary Flames who rank third in the NHL in shots per game with 35.7.

Kuemper will start Wednesday vs. the Flyers.

Kuemper allowed four goals on 29 shots (.862 SV%) as he lost to his old team the Colorado Avalanche in his last start. It has not been an easy first season in Washington for Kuemper who posted a 5-9-1 record with a 2.83 GAA and .907 SV%. He faces off against the Philadelphia Flyers who ranks 30th in the NHL in goals (2.53) and 29th in shots on goal (29.0).

The Jets' backup goaltender has struggled despite his 2-1-0 record this season, posting a .890 SV% and 2.73 GAA. He takes on the Carolina Hurricanes' who rank fourth in the NHL in shots per game (35.7) but 24th in goals per game (2.83).

Jack Studnicka has been placed on the injured reserve due to a lower-body injury.

Studnicka will head to the injured reserve after an eye-opening seven-game spell with Vancouver after being traded a few weeks ago. Through seven games the 23-year-old has a goal and two points along with 11 SOG while only averaging 10:30 ATOI in a bottom-six role. He has a lower-body injury.

Kuemper finds himself in the midst of a four-game losing streak after stopping 24 of 27 shots (.889 SV%) in a 4-1 loss to Pittsburgh his last time out. Although he holds a 4-6-1 record, he has been solid between the pipes for the injured Capitals as proven by his .916 SV% and 2.47 GAA. He faces the Tampa Bay Lightning who have won two of their last three contests but grade out fairly evenly offensively across the league as they are 13th in GF/GP (3.23) and 17th in SOG/GP (31.2).
