The Red Wings have recalled Joe Hicketts from Grand Rapids (AHL); will make his NHL debut on Monday.
Goalie Start
Forsberg will start Saturday vs. the Islanders.
Forsberg gave up two goals on 27 shots in the Blackhawks loss to Minnesota on January 10th. Jeff Glass has started the last two games, but Forsberg will start tonight vs. the Islanders. The 25-year-old has gone 1-2-1 with a 1.62 GAA and .949 SV% in four starts at the United Center.
Goalie Start
Kuemper is projected to start in Anaheim.
Kuemper allowed three goals on 32 shots in the Kings loss to the Sharks on Monday. With Jonathan Quick struggling, it’s no surprise to see Kuemper go tonight in Anaheim. he has not played a lot this season, but has been really good when called upon. He comes into tonight at 2-0-2 with a 2.03 GAA and .940 SV% in six road appearances.

Kuemper led the Kings onto the ice for warmups.
Danault is day-to-day with concussion-like symptoms.
This is far from surprising considering Danault was hospitalized after getting hit in the head by a Zdeno Chara slapshot on Saturday. With Danault out, Daniel Carr will draw into the Canadiens lineup vs. the Islanders.
Danault (head) was released from the hospital on Sunday; not expected to play on Monday.
Danault had to be stretchered off of the ice on Saturday after taking a Zdeno Chara slapshot in the head. It was a scary scene on the Bell Centre ice, but he was released from the hospital yesterday, but still it is highly unlikely he will be available for tonight’s game vs. the Islanders.

Forsberg will start for the second straight night.
Forsberg stopped 25 of 27 shots in the Blackhawks win in Ottawa last night. After Jeff Glass started four in a row, Forsberg has turned in two straight good starts, stopping 57 of the 60 shots (.950 SV%) that he faced. He has not faced the Wild this season, but has gone 1-1-1 with a 1.50 GAA and .955 SV% on home-ice.

After ceding the crease to 32-year-old rookie Jeff Glass, Forsberg had a nice outing vs. Edmonton and will get a second straight start tonight. Forsberg makes for an interesting spot-start option against a struggling Senators squad.

The Senators called Ceci questionable on Monday but he put the question marks aside when he took part in this morning’s gameday skate. Ceci has been held pointless in seven straight games and has just eight points (5G / 3A) in 40 games this season.
Ceci (undisclosed) is questionable for Tuesday’s game vs. Chicago.
Ceci finished Saturday’s game vs. the Lightning, playing 24:01 TOI but he is reportedly dealing with an undisclosed injury. Monitor Ceci’s status during the Senators morning skate on Tuesday.
Dumoulin (concussion) will be a game-time decision on Sunday.
Perry (knee) is expected to return to the Ducks lineup on Saturday.
Perry has been sidelined since December 11th with a knee injury but all signs point towards Perry playing tonight in Calgary. Perry was skating on the third line with Adam Henrique and Nick Ritchie at the morning skate, so expect him to be back in. Perry has six goals and 16 assists (22 points) in 31 games this season.

Dumoulin is day-to-day with a concussion.
Dumoulin suffered a concussion on Tuesday when he was hit in the head by a Claude Giroux shot. Dumoulin will miss Thursday’s game vs. the Hurricanes, so Matt Hunwick will draw onto the top pairing with Kris Letang.
