After not missing a single game this season, Foligno will miss his second straight as he continues battling an ongoing injury. In 35 games, Foligno has 15 points (6G / 9A), playing predominantly with Pat Maroon and Frederick Gaudreau.

Fleury will start the third straight game with Filip Gustavsson sidelined for the foreseeable future with a lower-body injury. Gaunce will be a healthy scratch on Thursday, allowing Mathieu Olivier to draw back into the lineup for the Blue Jackets. Gaunce is averaging 10:57 time-on-ice through seven games this season, scoring three points (1G / 2A), registering 12 shots, and 13 hits.

It's a tough blow to what's already been an injury riddled campaign for Minnesota's captain, as this marks the third separate injury Spurgeon has suffered through this season. Spurgeon has no goals and five assists in just 16 games on the year. The Wild recalled Daemon Hunt from Iowa (AHL) to fill Spurgeon's spot on the roster.

The Wild announced Monday a pair of massive injuries as both Kirill Kaprizov and Filip Gustavsson will be away from the team for weeks due to injury. Kaprizov (upper body) left Minnesota's December 30th game after just 15:30 TOI and is now expected to miss the next 1-to-2 weeks after being placed on the Injured Reserve. The 26-year-old's absence will make a massive loss as he had 13 goals, 34 points and 110 SOG in 34 games played this year.

With Filip Gustavsson expected to be on the injured reserve for the next several weeks with a lower-body injury, Fleury will return to the crease for Minnesota on Tuesday. The 39-year-old Fleury has played well since the start of December, posting an impressive .919 SV% in six appearances (3-2-0). That said, the Wild have lost two straight (0-2-0) and are slight +101 road underdogs on Tuesday against the Calgary Flames, who have lost two of their last three games (1-2-0).

Gustavsson will join Kirill Kaprizov in his week-to-week injury diagnosis as he was placed on the Injured Reserve with a lower-body injury Monday. The 25-year-old last appeared on December 30th and made 22 stops (.864 SV%) in a losing effort to Winnipeg. He should return to the Wild' in a few weeks to look to improve on his 10-9-2 record, .903 SV% and 2.96 GAA on the season.
