Zuccarello returned to the Rangers lineup on Friday but will be sidelined again on Saturday. It’s unclear if they Rangers are being cautious with the groin injury or if he suffered a setback, yet again. Tim Gettinger will replace him against the Capitals.

Shore has missed the last four games with a lower-body injury that he suffered on November 12th. Shore has picked up 11 points (5G / 6A) in 18 games this season and will skate on a line with Jason Spezza and Roope Hintz on Friday.

Merrill was not in the lineup in Boston on Sunday, but will replace Brad Hunt tonight vs. the Ducks. Merrill doesn’t have a lot of offensive upside, picking up just two assists in 15 games this season.
Shore was forced to leave Monday’s game vs. the Blue Jackets and will miss at least one week. Jason Dickinson moved up and skated in Shore’s spot on the Stars second line during Wednesday’s practice.
