Spurgeon (shoulder) is skating in a no-contact jersey.

Spurgeon has missed the last four games with a shoulder injury that he suffered on October 30th. The Wild have not given many details on Spurgeon’s injury, but his return to the ice this morning suggests that he is not that far from a return. However, the Wild have a lot of capable NHL defensemen, so they won't rush Spurgeon.

Zuccarello (undisclosed) is on the ice for the Rangers morning skate.

Zuccarello missed Monday’s game, but was back on the ice for practice on Tuesday and is skating again today, which suggests he will be in the lineup tonight vs. Detroit. After a breakout 2013-14, he has just four points (1G / 3A) in nine games this season.

He scored a goal-of-the-year candidate last night vs. the Rangers, proving he is playing with a tremendous amount of confidence right now.

Brodin (upper-body) will not play on Thursday.

There is still no word on exactly what is ailing Brodin after he crashed into the boards heavily on Monday. However, he won't be in the lineup for the second straight game and should be considered day-to-day until there is more information released on the severity of his injury.

Wild head coach Mike Yeo said Brodin is "sore in a couple different spots" and is listed as day-to-day.

Brodin crashed violently into the end-boards after being checked from behind by Chris Kreider on Monday. He returned for the third period of that game, but was too banged to play last night. Brodin reportedly had his left hand bandaged up after Monday's game, but it sounds like he is battling a a couple of minor injuries.
