Kaapo Kahkonen will start Thursday vs. Colorado.

Kahkonen allowed four goals on 42 shots (.905 SV%) for his 11th loss in 12 games as he was handed the overtime defeat by the Colorado Avalanche last game. The 26-year-old has been horrendous this season, with his 9-18-7 record, 3.83 GAA and .881 SV%. He takes on the Colorado Avalanche, who have won five of their last six games after a 4-3 overtime win over San Jose on Tuesday.

He will take on the Washington Capitals, who have lost four straight and are 20th in the NHL in goals (3.09).

The 26-year-old has had a horrendous 2022-23 season, with his 9-18-6 record, 3.83 GAA and .880 SV%. He will take on the Colorado Avalanche, who have won four of their last five games and are seventh in the NHL in shots per game (33.3).

Laine's season of incredibly bad luck continues as he suffered a tricep strain in practice Thursday and will not be forced to miss 2-4 weeks. The 24-year-old left winger had 22 goals, 30 assists, 184 SOG, 16 PIMs and a -12 plus/minus through 55 games this season prior to the injury.

Evans has been out since January 14th due to a lower-body injury but will draw back into the Canadiens' lineup Thursday as they take on the Boston Bruins. The 26-year-old had two goals, nine assists, 42 SOG, 20 PIMs and a -8 plus/minus through 43 games this season prior to his injury.

Jake Evans is a possibility to return Thursday vs. Boston (lower-body).

Evans has been out since January 14th after injuring his leg vs. the New York Islanders but has a strong possibility to return Thursday vs. Boston. The 26-year-old has two goals, nine assists, 42 SOG, 20 PIMs and a -8 plus/minus through 43 games prior to his injury.

Dach last played for Montreal on February 14th due to a lower-body injury but will be back in the Canadiens lineup Tuesday. The 22-year-old was enjoying his most productive season to date prior to his injury, with 12 goals, 23 assists, 99 SOG, 43 PIMs and a -4 plus/minus through 54 games prior to his injury.
